01

Start with a written definition

Two contractors may use the same label for different scopes. Ask for a written list of work, materials, responsibilities, and exclusions.

02

When might a structural scope fit?

It may fit when you want to separate the structural stage or finishing selections are not yet final. The contract should define the handover point and what is needed for the next stage.

03

When might integrated delivery fit?

It may fit when you want one party to manage multiple delivery scopes, provided specifications, allowances, selections, and change procedures are settled. The word “turnkey” alone does not define the result.
